Located on the border of the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan. The main lodge sits only a stone's throw from the 60th parallel.

The Fishing

The fishing right on Scott Lake is world class. Unlike many lakes where you have to choose either good action or trophy size, Scott Lake offers both. It's not uncommon here to land 50 to 100 fish a day for a single boat, and we've had more than a few with well over 100 fish in a day. And with some of those in the trophy class, fishing just doesn't get much better anywhere in the world.

Trophy fish are common at Scott. We consider a pike a trophy if it measures 40" or lake trout a trophy if it measures 35" or more and a grayling a trophy if it measures 15" or more. Every year our guests land over 1000 trophies. We don't even keep track of the "small" ones weighing between 10-18 lbs. And you don't have to fly out or spend hours getting to the fish. In fact, a number of the best lake trout spots on the entire lake are within sight of the Lodge. We've had a 46" trout and a 50" pike caught within a 15 minute boat ride from our dock. With access to Scott, Premier and Wignes lakes - all connected, you can fish 250,000 acres of private water and follow 500 miles of shoreline. That is a lot of room to roam. Typically you will spend 6 to 8 hours fishing not cruising around the lake.

In a couple locations on the upper river, small 2-man boats are placed to allow access to the side of the river opposite the trail system. The water above the canyon consists of a variety of runs that are relatively easy to read and quite accessible on foot. Guests enjoy their time on the upper river since all are experienced in fishing for anadromous fish – this is an excellent combination with the guided fishing on the lower river.

With Premier Lake and Scott Lake right at our doorstep, there's about 150,000 acres of water with 350 miles of shoreline, but a lot of guests love the adventure and excitement of flying to a lake that is all their's for the day. With our fly out destinations we alco offer fishing on over a quarter of a million acres of productive water spread over a 5,000 square mile area.
